Officer Shane Auginaush grew up on the White Earth Indian Reservation in Northern Minnesota. Upon Graduation from Highschool He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps serving as an Amphibious Assault Crewman with the Second Marine Division Second Amphibious Assault Battalion Charlie Company. After serving he went back home to the White Earth Reservation and attended the BIA Police Academy after graduation from BIA Academy He worked for the reservation as a Game Warden. He then joined the White Earth Police Department and worked his way up to Patrol Sergeant. After serving 12 years with White Earth, he moved next to the Lower Sioux Police Department and worked as a Lieutenant. Looking for new experiences, he moved to Idaho and worked for the Nez Perce Police department. After his wife’s run in with Cancer he and his wife decided to move back to Minnesota where he got a job with the Bagley Police Department as the Assistant Chief of Police. He was then recruited by the Chief of Police of Saint Paul Island Alaska. He moved his family to Saint Paul in 2019 looking for new and exciting adventure. After his contract was up, he moved to Anchorage working for the University Police Department becoming the Patrol Sgt. After hearing Great things about Palmer Police Department, he applied and was hired and now patrols the awesome town, Palmer, Alaska where plans to stay until retirement.
