Sergeant Clark grew up in southeastern Connecticut and enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduating high school in 2012. Clark served as a Mortarman with the 101st Airborne Division in a lightweight reconnaissance unit until his completion of service in 2015. Upon completing his service, Clark relocated to Alaska and found work as a legal assistant with the District Attorney's Office in Anchorage. In 2016, Clark was sworn in as a Reserve Police Officer with the Palmer Police Department. In 2017, Clark was hired full time by the Palmer Police Department.
Clark attended the University of Alaska's Law Enforcement Training Academy and is a certified Intermediate Police Officer through the Alaska Police Standards Council. Clark is a certified Police Instructor and Field Training Officer. Clark further has advanced training in narcotics investigations, undercover police work, confidential source handling, and interviewing.
In September of 2021, Clark was promoted to Police Detective. He was assigned to the DEA as a Task Force Officer from the Palmer Police Department. There, Clark worked extensively on several investigations into large drug trafficking organizations responsible for widespread fentanyl sales, homicides, carjackings, armed robberies, and more. Clark competed for promotion in December of 2024 and was selected to lead the Palmer Police Investigations Unit as a Detective Sergeant. Clark currently oversees this unit as well as the Reserve Officer Program and several emerging technology programs underway at the department.
Clark prides himself on living within the community he polices, targeting of crime trends, and engaging with at-risk juveniles and adults to mitigate future criminal conduct.
