Residential Fence

Getting a fence permit is as easy as 1-2-3!

1. Fill-out the Residential Fence Permit Application and attach a site plan. (see the Commercial Project page for non-residential fences)

2. Submit the application with supporting documentation to the Building Department in person or jpatterson [at] palmerak.org (subject: Residential%20Fence%20Permit%20Application, body: %2AAttach%20completed%20fence%20permit%20application%20and%20supporting%20documentation%2A) (EMAIL) it.

3. Upon approval, fee payment and completion of the fence, request a final inspection.

DONE!

Tips for processing:

  • Review the Palmer Municipal Code on fencing (PMC 17.60.070) and applicable zoning restrictions prior to submission.
  • The site plan should show appropriate setbacks and structures on the property.
    • A copy of the property as-built can be obtained from Palmer Community Development, if there is one on file.

Questions regarding your proposed fence location can be emailed to the zoning & code compliance department kmyers [at] palmerak.org (subject: Code%20Compliance%20Fence%20Question) (HERE).
